![]() ![]() Our boutique hotel is a product of hospitality circa 1920's in the US and was one of the first hotels in Atlanta to have private bathrooms in each guest room. Previous to the 1920's it was typical to have a common bathroom per floor to share with other guests. Certainly, we are all happy to have this distinction, but understand with a property steeped in history, we are inspired to provide exceptional personal service so our guests enjoy their stay. I am sorry to hear you did not prefer the menu options in our restaurant. It sounds as if you may have been with us during a busy show night at the Fox Theatre, when we offer an abbreviated menu of items that are faster to prepare for diners who are eager to get to the theatre. for your next visit with us, if you will send me your confirmation number, I will buy you dinner in our restaurant. I am sure you will find more than one menu item that entices you and I am happy to help you find a favorite you will enjoy. Thank you again for being our guest.I would leave less stars if applicable. As in, you can not even change your clothes in the bathroom because there is not enough room to move around. My friends and I stayed in for the night as an escape from kids and to reconnect. Laying in bed at 10:00 on a Saturday evening and watching HGTV, we get a banging on our door. I looked through the peep hole and some guy wearing a beanie hat looking nervous was on the other side. He never announced who he was and we were not about to open the door to some stranger. Then a call comes in saying there was a noise complaint against our room. I was like, what? We are in our pajamas about to fall asleep and watching HGTV. The rude girl at the front desk said, we had security knock at your door. To which I said, is it your policy to come bang at the door and not announce yourself before even the courtesy of a phone call? We didn’t know who this guy was. Besides, we are not doing anything wrong. I hang up in total disbelief and am flabbergasted at the poor handling all the way around. Ten minutes later, a bang at the door again. I open it and it’s the security guy and now a manager (wearing flip flops-which really speaks to the level of professionalism) letting us know that we need to leave the hotel, we are being kicked out due to a noise complaint. I let him know that it is NOT us and we are not leaving. That he needs to contact the police to escort us out as this is a violation of our rights, having done nothing wrong and now being harassed. He then tries to push open the door and force his way into the room. I pushed the door back and locked the security lock on the inside. He unlocks the door and tries to shove his way into the room again, but I had the security bolt on. There are four women in here, in our pajamas, you do not need to be in this room. We are collecting our things and leaving. ![]() All this to say, that with absolute certainty, we 40 something year old women have NEVER been in a situation like this or treated so disrespectfully or rudely by hotel staff, or really anyone. Unbelievable is all we could say as we drove home at midnight. Do not stay here.” “Update-we are speaking to a lawyer. ![]() My credit card was charged for not just the one night on the wrong date, but an additional full price charge for the correct date, a random $50 charge AND an additional $30 charge for parking that I already paid through my booking!” The hotels response was a blanket “so sorry”. ![]() They have not returned my phone calls or emails and have literally lied at their recounting of events. Thankfully we have video of all of this that took place. The overall staff friendliness tips the scale from a 3 to a 4 in my book.Saturday night will be first and only night every staying at an IHG property. I left hungry and walked 2 blocks over to the Starbucks to get breakfast. Service was slow and led to a negative impression being left, particularly given the price charged. The morning breakfast buffet ran out quickly and was not re-supplied quickly. The only “negative” I would note is that the hotel restaurant staff did not seem to be ready for a larger crowd despite the advance bookings. Everything worked and the shower is spacious BUT the bathroom is claustrophobic. The bathroom in our room is the smallest I’ve ever seen. One item of note: the bathrooms are VERY small. The WiFi works well in the rooms and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable with great pillows. The rooms are quiet, nicely decorated and look like they were recently renovated. Overall, this is a good property and I would recommend. We opted for the “Parking Included” package, which is a great feature. This hotel offers several helpful features, including secure parking. My friend and I opted to stay at the Indigo due to its proximity to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. ![]()
